Bring your client, meeting and team context into ChatGPT or Claude. Use it alongside your other connected tools to prepare for better meetings and keep work moving between them.
Before you connect
You need a Brieff account and a firm with AI connections enabled. Your assistant's plan must support connections to custom MCP servers. If your assistant is managed by your organisation, your administrator may also need to allow Brieff.
Connect your account
- Open the apps or connectors settings in your assistant. Add Brieff using the installation link provided by Brieff, or add a custom MCP connection with the server address
https://api.brieff.io/mcp. - Sign in to Brieff, choose the firm you want to work with and review the access you are granting.
- Start a new conversation with Brieff enabled. For editing, approve edit access as well as read access. Your existing Brieff permissions still apply.
In Claude, the Brieff plugin adds guided workflows and the Brieff connector gives access to your account. The Brieff connector is available in the Claude directory. The ChatGPT app listing and Claude plugin listing are under review. You can use a custom MCP connection in a supported account while review is in progress.
Start with a question
- “Bring me up to speed on this client before I plan my next steps.”
- “Use our last meeting and open Actions to help me prepare for the next one.”
- “What should I follow up on with this client between meetings?”
- “Create an Action called Review pricing draft and assign it to me.”
- “Add Review pricing options to the next meeting agenda.”
Name the client, workspace or meeting you mean. Your assistant can help you choose when there is more than one match. Check source links where available, and review proposed changes before they are saved.
Manage your access
Your connection uses your current firm and record permissions. You can review or revoke it in Brieff → Settings → AI connections.
Your assistant receives the relevant Brieff information needed for your request, such as meeting notes, Actions, Goals and Check-in responses. When you approve an edit, Brieff receives the requested change and records the result. Your AI provider's terms and privacy settings apply to information shared in the conversation. Disconnecting stops future access; use your provider's history controls to manage conversations already saved there.
Need a hand?
If a firm or record is missing, check that you are connected to the right firm and can open the record in Brieff. If editing is unavailable, check your edit access. If a save result is unclear, ask your assistant to check whether it was saved before trying again.
Contact Brieff support or email support@brieff.io. Tell us which assistant you use and what happened, without including credentials or confidential client information.
